it is a useful essay which pointed out the realities behind the reality shows. after I read the essay, I realised how importance people attach reality shows. writer is right, sometimes we really forget the important issues. we are talking about talk shows and contestations. we are looking forward to next episode of tehese programmes. it is also interesting in reality shows people doing nothing special they are living casually, but why so many people addicted to these shows like the writer mentioned. actually reality shows are the easiest way of becoming rich and famous. these concepts are very important in our modern life. on the other hand the programmers know that how to represent ordinary events, in glamourous way.

the story is very familiar to me because the events and reactions of the family may be the same as the familyies in our society. so it is a fluent story. We can understand that a normal American family is not good at machines like radio. Because in Turkey most of people like listening radio and they know how and where it works easily. I don’t know is it possible to hear neibhour’s phone calls and conversations from radio. But if it is possible it can be really fun. I think i would do same as Irene. In my opinion there is no big deal, IRene and jim can safe their marriage, because they used to be very good couple.

The parents of the son are very happy with each other. They have a very happy marriage. They have lived very satisfactory life together. But the son is always complaining about his father’s tales.
